Sughd Free Economic Zone established in 2009 is the bounded territory of Khujand with special legal status and favourable economic conditions for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs. Sughd FEZ is an industrial and innovation zone with a total area of 320 hectares. It was established for 25 years. There are special customs and tax regimes, and simplified procedure for registering entities (residents) on the territory of Sughd FEZ. Interference of the public authorities with the financial and economic activities is prohibited, except in the cases specified by law of Tajikistan is prohibited.
